JAN 6, 2018 – ENGINE 1 FIRST DUE TO HOUSE FIRE AT 4828 JELYNN ST

At 1040, RW911 dispatched New Hope Engine 1, Raleigh Engine 27, and Ladder 5 for a fire alarm at 4828 Jelynn St, in the city of Raleigh. New Hope Engine 1 was first on scene, reporting heavy fire from division 2 extending into the attic.  Engine 1’s crew upgraded the assignment to a working fire, and initiated a transitional attack. Engine 27 secured a water supply, and crews stretched two lines into the house. The fire was knocked down and placed under control in under 30 minutes, however the structure was heavily damaged but there were no injuries reported.

Due to the extreme cold, Wake EMS EVAC 1 was requested to the scene to assist with rehab.
