SEPT 27, 2018 – ENGINE 1 FIRST DUE TO 4707 N NEW HOPE DR

At 1941, New Hope Engine 1 was dispatched into the City of Raleigh to respond as the closest engine to 4707 N. New Hope Dr. Engine 1 was first on scene, reported smoke showing stretched one line, and made entry. Raleigh’s Battalion Chief arrived shortly afterwards, confirmed smoke showing and upgraded the assignment to a working fire.

Engine 1’s crew made entry to the apartment, and found the source of the smoke to be food on the stove, with no extension. With this updated information, the IC reduced the assignment to 2 engines and a ladder from Raleigh FD. All New Hope Fire units cleared shortly afterwards
